Classifications of Stamping on Clutch

Stampings on clutch are classified into friction clutch part, hydraulic torque converter and electromagnetic clutch. Friction clutch is classified into wet clutch and dry clutch further.

Stampings on electromagnetic clutch control connection and separation of clutch through coil energizing and outage. If magnetic powders are placed between driving link and driven link, the unite force between them are strengthened. This clutch is called as magnetic powder electromagnetic clutch.

Stampings on wet friction clutch are generally multidisc, soaked in oil for heat dissipation. The clutch uses several coil springs as pressure spring. The clutch whose springs are distributed around the plate is called as multi-coil spring clutch. The clutch using diaphragm spring as pressure spring is called as diaphragm spring clutch.

Stampings on automatic clutch
Traditional clutch is classified into wiring clutch and hydraulic clutch. Automatic clutch is also classified into mechanical motor automatic clutch and hydraulic automatic clutch. For electronic technique being widely applied on automobile, a new automatic clutch comes out. The clutch controlled by ECU has been already used by some automobile, which accomplishes shift-the duly and automatically- the most important procedure on manual transmission that clutch breaks or connects, highly simplifying driver’s operation.

ECU on mechanical motor automatic clutch collects the signals from accelerator pedal, revolution speed transducer and vehicle speed sensor. The signals having been dealt with are sent to drive servo motor. The clutch is driven through pull rod or other mechanical forms. Hydraulic clutch drives electro hydraulic system through the signal sent by ECU. The clutch is controlled through hydraulic pressure.

The actuator on automatic clutch consists of electric oil pump, magnetic valve and oil cylinder. When ECU sends signal to drive electric oil pump, the high pressure oil caused by electric oil pump is transmitted to oil cylinder through magnetic valve. Magnitude of current on magnetic valve control oil flow rate and passage conversion, to realize piston movement on oil cylinder, finishing the operation of clutch during starting and shifting.
